Running transformations in silent mode

To prevent new dialog boxes from opening while a transformation runs, you can set the transformation to run in silent mode. If a reverse transformation is available and it supports silent mode, you can set the reverse transformation to also run in silent mode.

Running a transformation in silent mode suppresses all dialog boxes that the transformation generates. This feature is helpful so that you do not have to respond to the prompts that the transformation generates.

To set a transformation to run in silent mode:

  1. In the Project Explorer view, right-click the transformation configuration file; then click Open.
  2. Click the Common tab.
  3. On the Common page, select the Run forward transformation silently check box.
  4. Optional: If a reverse transformation is available that supports silent mode, you can select the Run reverse transformation silently check box.
  5. Click File > Save.
The next time that you run the transformation, dialog boxes that the transformation generates are suppressed.
Note: If you create a new transformation configuration, you can specify this information on the Common page of the New Transformation Configuration wizard.
