Lesson 3: Generate and display the report

This lesson shows you how to generate and display a report for the selected model.

1. In the Project Explorer view, right-click Mobile Telephone Architecture; then click Generate Report.
2. In the Reporting window, click Simplified UML Transformation Report as the report design. This sample report design supports the simplification transformation. The transformation does not change the underlying model; it affects only the contents of the report.
   Note: When you generate your own reports, you can choose any of the available report designs for your report.
3. In the Enter report output location field, browse to an existing folder and type ModelPhoneSample as the file name.
4. In the Select report format field, select PDF.
   Note: When you generate your own reports, you can also select an HTML report format.
5. Click Next.
6. Select the UML2 Simplification Transform check box. Note that this transformation works only with the Simplified Transformation Report report design. Do not select this option when you use another report design.
7. To generate the report, click Finish. The report opens in Adobe^® Acrobat^® Reader.
