Adding elements and attributes to JET transformation input schemas

An element represents an input that is required by the JET transformation. A transformation input schema can contain many elements, and each element in a transformation input schema has a multiplicity of zero-or-more. You can add one or more attributes to elements, and create JET actions that are associated with an element. Attributes further describe elements, and are also required as input to a transformation.

You must have a JET transformation project in your workspace.

To add an element or attribute to the JET transformation input schema:

In the Project Explorer view, in the JET transformation project, right-click the transform.tma file; then click Open.
In the editor area, in the Transformation input schema and output actions pane, right-click an element in the input schema hierarchy; then complete one of the following steps:
- To add an element, click New > Type.
- To add an attribute, click New > Attribute.
Specify the name of the new element or attribute and press Enter.

The element or attribute is added to the input schema, beneath the element that you select.
