You
can set the parameters of a JET action to reference the attributes or elements
in an input model. When you refine the transformation input schema, JET action
parameter values that you select can include XPath expressions that correspond
to elements in the transformation input schema. When you run the JET transformation
by using an input model, JET replaces the XPath expression with the values
in the input model. This functionality enables you to modify the behavior
of a JET action based on values in the input model.
You
must have a transformation model file open. A transformation model file has
the name transform.tma.
You
must have at least one JET action defined in the transformation input schema.
To replace a JET action with an element in the input schema:
- In the editor area, in the Transformation input schema
and output actions pane, click a JET file action.
- Click the Properties view.
If the Properties view is not open, right-click the JET
action; then click Show Properties View.
- Expand the Action Parameters section
to edit the action parameters.
- In the Value column, right-click the value
to replace; then click Replace with Model Reference.
- In the Replace with Model References dialog
box, click the model reference that replaces the value that you selected in
the previous step; then click OK.
- Click .
