Integrated Agent Controller Configuration

The Integrated Agent Controller (IAC) is automatically configured when you install the Eclipse Workbench. To change the default configuration, use the Integrated Agent Controller preference page available in the TPTP Workbench.  To view the preference page, click on the menu Window -> Preferences...  Expand Agent Controller node in the left pane, and select Integrated Agent Controller to get the preference page of the Integrated Agent Controller:

Start/Stop the Integrated Agent Controller as needed

By default the Integrated Agent Controller is transient.  It is started and terminated automatically as needed.  However, it is possible to keep the Integrated Agent Controller running all the time until the TPTP Workbench is closed by checking Disable. This is useful in the case where you want to use the Integrated Agent Controller only and not the local standalone Agent Controller.

Java executable that will be used by the IAC

This is the Java executable used by the Integrated Agent Controller to launch an application (such as application to be profiled). By default, it is the Java executable that is used to start the TPTP Workbench.  You can use a different Java executable by clicking Modify and then selecting one of the installed JRE definitions.

Machines that should be given access to IAC

By default, the Integrated Agent Controller is only accessible from the local host. You can modify this setting to enable all machines to have access by selecting All or you can enable only specified machines to have access by selecting Custom and then specifying the list of hostnames.

Integrated Agent Controller security

By default, security is disabled. You can enable security, if desired, by selecting On. You then have the option of allowing any user to access the Integrated Agent Controller or only a specified set of users. To specify a set of users only, choose Custom and then create the list of usernames.
