Duplicate an Activity

You can duplicate an activity with the Duplicate Activity action. If the activity has tasks or a hierarchy, you can duplicate the activity with or without its tasks or with its hierarchy. If you choose to duplicate the activity hierarchy, you duplicate all the children and tasks below it.

When you duplicate an activity, you duplicate an applied job plan.

You do not duplicate the following information:

• work actuals

• failure reports

• planned moves or modifications

• an applied customer agreement

• an applied price schedule and price transactions

• response plan

• revision information

• purchase order information

• bill batch and billing information

To duplicate an activity:

1. In the Activities and Tasks (SP) application, display the activity you want to duplicate.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Duplicate Activity to open the Duplicate Record dialog box. Duplication options are displayed based upon the current activity.

3. Choose one of the following options:

4. Duplicate Activity Without its Tasks

5. Duplicate Activity With its Tasks

6. Duplicate Activity Hierarchy

4. Click OK to duplicate the record. The duplicated activity is displayed with a new identifier.

To return to the record without duplicating it, click Cancel.
