Activities and Tasks (SP) Application

You use the Activities and Tasks (SP) application to plan, review, and manage activities and tasks. When you create an activity, you initiate the work process and create a historical record of work being performed. Activities are created in the Incidents (SP) and Problems (SP) applications. An activity is a type of work order.

You associate other records with activities and tasks to add information or perform tasks, such as the following:

The Activities and Tasks (SP) application has the following tabs:

List: to search for activity and task records. Also, to select multiple records and change their status, or assign or take ownership of them.

Activities and Tasks: to view and modify activities and tasks; view PM and scheduling information; classify activities and tasks, and add attributes to them.

Resources: to view the planned and actual labor, materials, services, and tools associated with a task. The Resources tab appears only for task records. It does not appear for activity records.

Plans: to enter, view, and modify job tasks and labor, material, services, and tool requirements for the work plan. The Plans tab appears only for activity records. It does not appear for task records.

Actuals: to enter, view, and modify actual start and finish times, labor hours and costs, material quantities, locations, costs, and tool quantities, hours and costs. The Actuals tab appears only for activity records. It does not appear for task records.

Related Records: to view, add, and delete related work orders and tickets; to view follow-up records for the current activity or task.

Log: to view and create work log and communication entries about the current record.

Service Address: to enter, view, and modify service address and customer information.
