Add or Modify Conversions

You use the Add/Modify Conversions dialog box to define conversion factors between units of measure. For example, you might want a conversion factor between kilometers and meters to use with linear assets.

To add or modify conversion factors:

1. From the Select Action menu in the Assets (SP) application, select Unit of Measure and Conversion > Add/Modify Conversions.

2. To add a conversion factor:

1. Click New Row.

2. In the From and To Unit of Measure fields, enter the units of measure.

3. In the Conversion Factor field, enter the value by which you multiply the From Unit of Measure to yield the To Unit of Measure. For example, to convert kilometers to meters, the From Unit of Measure is kilometers, the To Unit of Measure is meters, and the conversion factor is 1,000.

3. To modify a conversion factor, click View Details and change the value in the Conversion Factor field. You cannot edit the unit of measure fields, but you can delete a row and insert a new row with different values.

4. Click OK.
