Duplicate an Asset Record

To add a new asset that is similar to existing assets, duplicate the asset record and modify the duplicated copy.

To duplicate an asset record:

1. On the Asset tab, display the asset record that you want to duplicate.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Duplicate Asset. The system displays the duplicated record, with the Asset field blank.

3. In the Asset field, enter a new value.

4. You can enter a description in the Asset Description field. If you need more space, click Long Description .

5. You can enter information in the other fields as needed.

6. Click Save Asset .
