Spare Parts Tab

You use the Spare Parts tab of the Assets (SP) application to associate subassemblies (child asset) and/or spare parts (inventory items) with the selected asset, thereby building the asset hierarchy. This tab also displays the parent of the selected asset.

The Spare Parts tab has two tables:

Subassemblies

The Subassemblies table is used to add subassemblies to the selected asset. (The subassembly must be recorded in the Asset database table to list it here.) You can build and view the asset hierarchy by using this tab.

Spare Parts

The Spare Parts table is used to add spare parts to the selected asset. The item must be recorded in the Inventory database table to list it here.
