View/Update Price Quote

In the Changes (SP) application, add, view or update a price quote with the View/Update Price Quote action. You can add or update a price quote on a change if the associated price schedule allows price quotes and the change is not included in a bill batch. You cannot add a price quote to a task work order.

The information about the first price quote you enter is retained, regardless of how many times you update the quote. You also view the current quote information on the Plans and Actuals tabs.

You might select a new price schedule for this change that does not allow price quotes. If you select such a price schedule, the values are cleared from the current quote fields, but the values in the original quote fields are retained.

To add a price quote:

  1. Display the change to which you want to add a price quote.

  2. From the Select Action menu, select View/Update Price Quote. The View/Update Price Quote dialog box opens.

  3. In the Quote Type field of the Current Quote section, click Select Value to select a quote type. Select FIXED to enter a fixed amount. Select NTE to enter a "not to exceed" amount.

  4. In the Quoted Price field of the Current Quote section, enter the price quote.

  1. Click OK to close the dialog box. This information is copied to the fields in the Original Quote section and to the Plans and Actuals tabs.

To view the price quotes:

  1. Display the change for which you want to view price quotes.

  2. From the Select Action menu, select View/Update Price Quote. The View/Update Price Quote dialog box opens.

The Current Quote section displays the current price quote for the change. The Original Quote section contains information about the first price quote that was entered on this record.

  1. Click OK to close the dialog.

To update a price quote:

  1. Display the change for which you want to update price quotes.

  2. From the Select Action menu, select View/Update Price Quote. the View/Update Price Quote dialog box opens.

  3. In the Current Quote section, update the values in the Quote Type and Quoted Price fields. This information is copied to the Plans and Actuals tabs. The fields in the Original Quote section remain unchanged.

  4. Click OK to close the dialog box.
