CI Reconciliation Result Tab

You use the CI Reconciliation Result tab in the CI Reconciliation Results (SP) application to perform the following tasks:

view reconciliation results
mark reconciliation results as resolved after you evaluate and resolve discrepancies between an authorized configuration item (CI) and an actual CI.
delete reconciliation results

The system generates a reconciliation result when it executes a reconciliation task to compare a top-level authorized CI with an actual CI. For more information about the kinds of results displayed, see CI Reconciliation Results (SP) Application.

The application displays the following information for each reconciliation result record:

Reconciliation Task – unique identifier of the reconciliation task that produced the result. You can use the Detail Menu in this field to navigate to the Reconciliation Tasks (SP) application.
Result Type – type of results displayed (either link rule failures or comparison rule results).
Rule Name – name of the rule that generated the result. If multiple rules exist and the system found no matches for any of the rules, it leaves this field blank. You can use the Detail Menu in this field to navigate to the application that created the rule displayed, either the Link Rules (SP) application or the Comparison Rules (SP) application.
Created Date – date and time the reconciliation result record was created.
Message – message that describes the result of the reconciliation.
Resolved? – check box that specifies whether discrepancies found by this comparison rule have been resolved. You can edit this field.
Comments – comments that describe how discrepancies were resolved. You can edit this field.
Customer – the customer associated with the reconciliation task. The results are shown for a reconciliation task that processed only the CIs associated with this customer. If there is no customer specified, the results are shown for a reconciliation task that processed only the CIs not associated with a customer.
Top-Level CI – unique identifier of the top-level authorized CI that the system compared to the actual CI. You can use the Detail Menu in this field to navigate to the Configuration Items (SP) application.

Actual CI – unique database identifier of the actual CI. You can use the Detail Menu in this field to perform the following actions:
view Classifications
view Attributes
navigate to the Actual Configuration Items (SP) application

The Authorized CI Information table window displays the following information about the authorized CI evaluated:

CI Object – authorized CI object
CI Attribute – authorized CI attribute
CI Value – value for the authorized CI attribute
CI Unit of Measure – unit of measurement for the authorized CI attribute
Top Level Site – site of the top-level authorized CI evaluated
CI – GUID (globally unique identifier) that identifies the CI. You can use the Detail Menu in this field to perform the following actions:

view Attributes
navigate to the Configuration Items (SP) application
view Work Details
view Actual CI Details
View CI Collections
view CI Relationship History

The Actual CI Information table window displays the following information about the actual CI evaluated;

Actual CI Object – actual CI object
Actual CI Attribute – actual CI attribute
Actual CI Value – value for the actual CI attribute
Actual CI Unit of Measure – unit of measurement for the actual CI attribute
Actual CI Key Field – key field for the actual CI
Actual CI Key Value – value for the key field of the actual CI

In some cases, fields displayed on the CI Reconciliation Result tab are empty. For example, if a rule contains multiple clauses and more than one clause fails to find a match, the system does not arbitrarily select one of the results; instead it leaves the fields empty. The application displays the maximum amount of unambiguous information available.
