Classifications Tab

You use the Classifications tab to perform the following tasks:

• Create a classification branch

• Navigate through the classification elements

• Add, modify, and delete classification elements

• Define a set of attributes for a classification

• Determine the objects with which the classification can be used (Use With area)

• Determine how you want to generate descriptions

• Determine whether the classification should be global or customer-specific

• Associate the customer-specific classification with none, one, or more customers, and determine how customer associations will affect child classifications and the attributes of the classification

• Determine whether attributes should be global or customer-specific

• Add or modify properties for classifications, attributes, or units of measurement

• Add or modify units of measure

• Duplicate or delete classifications

• View and modify the relationship between a parent and its children

• Navigate through the parent-child relationships
