Attribute

An attribute is a means of grouping characteristics of a classification. For example, for a classification of pump, you can have an attribute of horse power. For a classification path of PROBLEM \ COMPUTER, you can have an attribute of MEMORY SIZE.

You can further define attributes by Domain. A classification attribute can be tied to an ALN, Numeric, or Table domain. You can validate an attribute against the values in a particular database column by using a Table domain. You define domains in the Domains application of the Configuration module.
