Duplicate a Comparison RuleYou use the Comparison Rules tab in the Comparison Rules (SP) application to duplicate an existing comparison rule. You can use this procedure to create a new comparison rule based on an existing one. Once you duplicate the comparison rule, the system clears the Comparison field, and you must enter a new name for the duplicated comparison rule. You cannot modify the values in the Data Set 1 and Data Set 2 fields in the Type of Reconciliation section.
On the List tab In the Comparison Rules (SP) application, select the comparison rule that you want to duplicate. The application displays the selected record on the Comparison Rule tab.
From the Select Action menu, select Duplicate Comparison Rule. The application duplicates the comparison rule, without a value in the Comparison field.
In the Comparison field, enter the name for the new comparison rule.
Enter a description in the description field. To enter additional information, click Long Description .
If appropriate, you can modify the components of the comparison rule by selecting the appropriate tab and changing the Data Set 1 filter, Data Set 2 filter, matches found definitions, or attributes equality definitions. For more information about changing components on a comparison rule, see Modify a Comparison Rule.
When you complete the modifications, click Save Comparison Rule to save the comparison rule.
