Change the data in the description field or in existing fields in Data Set 1 filter clauses, Data Set 2 filter clauses, matches found clauses, or attributes equality clauses. You cannot modify the name in the Comparison field or the customer in the Customer field.
Add new Data Set 1 filter, Data Set 2 filter, matches found, or attributes equality clauses.
Delete existing Data Set 1 filter, Data Set 2 filter, matches found, or attributes equality clauses.
For more information about the components of a comparison rule, see About Comparison Rules Components.

On the List tab in the Comparison Rules (SP) application, select the comparison rule that you want to change. The application displays the selected comparison rule on the Comparison Rule tab.
If appropriate, change the description in the comparison rule description field.
To change a component of the comparison rule, select one of the following options:
For instructions about modifying a Data Set 1 filter, see Modify a Data Set 1 Filter.
For instructions about modifying a Data Set 2 filter, see Modify a Data Set 2 Filter.
For instructions about modifying a matches found clause, see Modify a Matches Found Clause.
For instructions about modifying an attributes equality clause, see Modify an Attributes Equality Clause.
When you complete all modifications, click Save Comparison Rule to save the modified comparison rule.
Note: When you save a modified comparison rule, the application evaluates the clauses to determine whether they are valid expressions. If a clause is not valid, the application displays an error message and does not save the comparison rule.
