Modify an Attributes Equality Clause

You use the Attributes Equality subtab on the Comparison Rule tab in the Comparison Rules (SP) application to modify attributes equality clauses on an existing comparison rule. You can add a new clause to the attributes equality definition, modify an existing clause, or delete an existing clause.

For more information about the components of a comparison rule, see About Comparison Rules Components. For more information about the components of attributes equality clauses, see Attributes Equality Clauses.

To modify an attributes equality clause:

  1. On the List tab in the Comparison Rules (SP) application, select the comparison rule that you want to modify. The application displays the selected comparison rule on the Comparison Rule tab.

  2. On the Comparison Rule tab, select the Attributes Equality subtab.

    1. In the Attributes Equality Clauses table window, click New Row. The Row Details open.

    2. Add values in the attributes equality clause fields as required. For more detailed instructions about adding attributes equality clauses, see Create an Attributes Equality Clause.

  1. When you complete all modifications, click Save Comparison Rule  to save the modified comparison rule.

Note: When you save a modified comparison rule, the application evaluates the clauses to determine whether they are valid expressions. If a clause is not valid, the application displays an error message and does not save the comparison rule.
