Associating Customers with Other RecordsYou can associate a customer with several types of records. The associations help you provide agreed-upon services in a timely, consistent, and efficient manner.
Associate a child customer with a parent customer. The child is a division or subsidiary of the parent. View log entries for all children of a parent on the parent or any child record. Make this association in the Customers (SP) application.
Associate a customer with a location and designate a primary customer for the location. A ticket or work order for a location can automatically add customer information. Make this association in the Locations (SP) application.
Associate a customer with a customer agreement and price schedules to make available the agreement and price schedules for tickets, work orders, and sales orders for the customer. Make this association in the Customer Agreements (SP) application.
Associate a customer with a response plan to make it available to tickets, work orders, and sales orders for the customer. Make this association in the Customers (SP) application.
Associate customers with a service level agreement (SLA) to make it available to tickets and work orders for the customers. Make this association in the Customers (SP) application.
Note: There are additional criteria for applying a price schedule, SLA, or response plan to a ticket or work order. For more information, see the online help for the Customer Agreements (SP), Service Level Agreements (SP), or Response Plans (SP) applications.
