Disks SubtabYou use the Disks subtab of the Storage tab in the Computers (SP) application to view information about physical storage components such as hard disks, floppy drives, tape devices and external removable storage devices on computers deployed in your organization.
The Disks subtab displays a table window with the following information about each storage device installed on the selected computer:
disk type
manufacturer
make/model
size of the disk
You can select a disk listed in the table window and expand the row to show the following details for the selected disk:
disk type
disk description
serial number
asset tag
manufacturer
make/model
disk interface used to connect the disk to the rest of the computer (such as SCSI, USB, IDS, or parallel interfaces)
device name (the system name the computer's operating system uses to identify the disk)
total size of the disk
whether or not the disk is write capable (that is, you can write to the disk)
whether or not the disk is removable media
whether or not the disk is an external device
whether or not the disk is hot swappable (Hot swappable devices can be removed while the computer is running, and the computer's operating system will recognize the change without requiring you to reboot the computer.)
