Escalation TabYou use the Escalation tab of the Escalations (SP) application to create and modify escalations. You can also validate, activate or deactivate, duplicate, or delete escalations.
If the escalation was created in an application other than the Escalations (SP) application, you can modify the escalation if you have appropriate security authorization. View the source application for the escalation in the Source Application field.
Escalations created from the Response Plans (SP) application also are considered on-demand escalations. They are not available to the cron task that monitors conditions and triggers actions and notifications. The Active? check box on the associated cron task instance of the ESCALATION cron task is always cleared for on-demand escalations.
Use fields on the Escalation tab to complete the following tasks:
In the top section, add or view the escalation identifier and object to which it applies, conditions for application of the escalation, make it active or inactive, set the schedule, select the organization and site to which it is available, and view the source application for the escalation.
In the Validation Results table window, if needed, view errors in the SQL statements of the condition fields
In the Escalation Points table window, build the escalation criteria
In the Actions subtab, associate one or more actions with an escalation point
In the Notifications subtab, associate one or more notifications with an escalation point
For information about a field, place the cursor in the field and press Alt + F1.
