Modify an Escalation

You can modify escalations created in the Escalations (SP) application. You must deactivate the escalation before you modify it.

Note: If the escalation was created in another application, and you have proper security authorization, you modify the escalation with the Edit External Escalation action. The name of the application that created the escalation is visible in the Source Application field.

To modify an escalation:

1. From the Escalations (SP) application, display the escalation that you want to edit.

2. If you have not yet deactivated the escalation, from the Select Action menu, select Activate/Deactivate Escalation.

3. On the Escalations tab, edit the information as needed. If a field has a Detail Menu , you can click it and select an option to retrieve a different value.

4. When all edits are made, click Save Escalation . The system saves the escalation to the database.

5. If appropriate, activate the escalation by choosing Activate/Deactivate Escalation from the Select Action menu. The system saves the changes you made to the escalation, and activates it if you chose to do so.
