Copy Item Assembly Structure

You use the Item Master (SP) application to copy an item assembly structure. You can use an existing item's item assembly structure (IAS) as a template and copy it to another item record. If an existing IAS is very similar to what you need, this functionality can save you time compared with creating a new IAS.

To copy an item assembly structure:

1. Display the item record to which you want to copy an item assembly structure.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Copy Item Assembly Structure. The Copy item Assembly Structure dialog box opens.

3. In the Item field, select the item from the list that has the IAS you want to copy. The information is copied to the Item Assembly Structure tab.

4. Modify the IAS for this item as needed.

5. Click Save Item to associate the item assembly structure to the item record.
