Create a Condition-enabled Item

You use the Item Master (SP) application to create a condition-enabled item. You create a condition-enabled item when you want to track the value of an item based on its condition. Before assigning condition codes to items, you must create the codes in the Condition Codes application.

To create a condition-enabled item:

1. Display the item record that you want to make condition-enabled.

2. From the Item tab, select the Condition Enabled? field.

3. In the Condition Codes table window, click New Row.

4. In the Condition Code field,  enter a value or click Detail Menu to select an option and retrieve a condition code. The first condition code you add should be a full-value code with a rate of 100%. The rate of the condition codes defaults to the value you add, but you can change the value if needed. However, you must have one full-value condition code before saving the item.

5. Click Save Item to associate the condition code to the item record.
