Create an Item KitAn item kit is a group of items that are issued as one single unit. You assemble an item kit and add it to a storeroom as one "package" of items that carries with it the required costing and balance information. You define the items that comprise the kit on the Item Assembly Structure tab.
On the toolbar, click New Item . A new record opens on the Item tab.
If the Item field is empty, enter a value.
Enter a description in the Item Description field. To enter additional information, click Long Description .
Select the Kit? check box to indicate that this item is a kit.
Fill in additional fields as needed. An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
To add items to the kit, from the Item Assembly Structure tab, click New Row to open the Children's table window.
In the Item field, enter a value or click Detail Menu to select an option and retrieve an item to add to the IAS.
Note: You can add only items that are not condition-enabled, rotating, or lotted.
If appropriate, change the number in the Quantity field.
If appropriate, enter remarks for this item in the IAS.
If appropriate, click New Row to add another item.
After you add the items to the IAS, click Save Item to add the new item record to the database.
