Add Parents to a Location

A location in a network system can belong to one parent or to multiple parents. A location in a hierarchical system can have only one parent.

To add multiple parents to a location:

On the Location tab In the Locations (SP) application, display the location record to which you want to add parent locations.
In the Systems table, if there are multiple systems, select the system in which you want to add a parent for the current location.
Under the Parent table, click New Row.
In the Location field, enter a value or click Detail Menu and select an option. The system copies the description into the Description field.
If you want to add more parents to the location within this system, repeat Steps 3-4 for each parent. The location's system must be a network if you want to add more than one parent. Change the system type with the Manage Systems dialog box.
Click Save Location .
