When you associate one or more customers with a location, you make the location record visible to users who have been given permission to access the data of that customer. One of the customers associated with a location is the primary customer. A primary customer can be copied to a work order or ticket. The primary customer is then used to find customer agreements and price schedules, service level agreements, and response plans
The primary customer determines the classifications, and attributes of classifications, that a location can use. By default, the first customer that you associate with a location is the primary customer.
If you select multiple customers to associate with a location, and there is no primary customer for the location, the first customer alphabetically in the selection becomes the primary customer for the location.
From the List tab of the Locations (SP) application, select the location that you want to associate customers with.
On the Location tab, click Show/Manage Customers next to the Primary Customer field.
In the Add/Modify Customer Associations dialog box, click Select Customers.
Select one or more customers from the list and click OK.
Click OK to save your changes and return to the Location tab.
When you associate a primary customer with a location that has a classification, attributes of the classification can become available or made unavailable. From the Specification tab, you can click Select Attributes to add attributes to the specification.
