You can add hazards to asset and location records so that when a work order is created on an asset or location, the appropriate safety information is available. The safety information defined in Assets (SP) and Locations (SP) may be added to a safety plan or added directly to the work order.
Before you can add hazardous materials to a location record, the hazardous material must have already been defined as hazardous material-enabled in the Safety Hazards application.
You can also use the Associate a Hazard with a Location procedure to associate a hazardous material-enabled hazard with a location record. If the hazard that you select is hazardous material-enabled, the system displays the hazardous material information on the Hazardous Materials subtab.
Display the location record with which you want to associate hazardous material.
On the Safety tab, click the Hazardous Materials subtab.
Under the Hazardous Materials table, click New Row.
In the Hazard field, click Detail Menu and select an option.
Note: On the Select Hazard page, the system displays only hazardous material-enabled hazards.
Click Save Location . The hazard is displayed on the Hazards and Precautions subtab.
