Associate a Location with a Service Address

You associate a location with a service address in the Locations (SP) application. A service address provides detailed address information for locations where you provide services, such as IT support or building maintenance. A location that is part of an address hierarchy but does not have its own service address inherits the service address from its nearest ancestor in the address hierarchy.

You can associate a location with a service address in two ways:

• Associate a location with an existing service address, as described in the following section.

• Create a service address and associate the location with the address, as described in the topic Create New Service Address.

To associate a location with an existing service address:

1. In the Locations (SP) application, display the location to associate with a service address.

2. Select one of the following options:

3. On the Location tab, enter a service address in the Service Address field or click Select Value and select from the list.

4. On the Service Address tab, in the Service Address field, click Detail Menu and choose an option to select a value.

3. Click Save Location .
