Reset/Replace Meters

You use the Reset Meter Readings action to clear a meter's readings. You use this action when you reset a meter or when you replace the physical meter. The Reset/Replace Meters action is for continuous type meters. You would use the replace functionality when a physical meter breaks and you want to replace it. The replace functionality lets you record a starting value for the replacement meter.

Note: The starting value of the replacement meter may not be zero if it has been previously used.

To reset a meter:

1. Display the location record whose meter you want to reset.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Reset/Replace Meters.

3. To view information for that meter, click View Details.

4. Enter values as needed in the Since Last Repair, Since Last Overhaul, Since Last Inspection, Since Install, Rollover, and Average fields.

5. Click OK to reset the meter and return to the record.

To cancel the resetting, click Cancel.

To replace a meter:

1. Display the location record whose meter you want to reset.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Reset/Replace Meters.

3. To view information for that meter, click View Details .

4. Enter a value in the Last Reading field.

5. Click OK to replace the meter and return to the record.

To cancel the replacement, click Cancel.
