Locations (SP) Application

You use the Locations (SP) application to create and maintain locations for assets and locations where you provide services to customers. You can organize these locations into logical hierarchical or network systems.

You use systems of locations and specifying the location for assets on asset records to gather and track valuable information about the history of assets. You can obtain information on asset performance at specific sites.

You also can associate locations with a service address. A service desk typically uses a service address to identify one or more locations where it provides services or performs work. You can organize locations associated with service addresses into a hierarchical address system.

You can associate locations with one or more of your service customers. A system process can match data on the combination of location and customer to apply a response plan, service level agreement, or agreement price schedule to work for that location.

You also can use the Locations (SP) application to create repair locations, courier locations, salvage locations, vendor locations, and labor locations.

List: to search for location records.

Location: to enter or view detailed information specific to a location.

Assets: to view assets at the selected location.

History: to view the history of move transactions in and out of the selected location.

Safety: to view, modify, add, or delete safety records associated with the selected location.

Meters: to associate a meter group with a location, and to add and remove meters from a location.

Specifications: to enter or view the specifications for the location as recorded in the Asset Catalog.

Service Address: to enter, view, or modify service address information.
