Specifications TabSpecifications TabYou use the Specifications tab in the Locations (SP) application to associate the selected record with a classification. Classifications are created in the Classifications (SP) application. Classifications help categorize assets into a hierarchy, making it easier to find a location. You also can use the Item Master (SP) application to classify items.
Use the Specifications tab to:
associate the selected location with a classification using an option from the Classifications field.
select an attribute in the Specifications table window and specify and edit values for it, such as its Unit of Measure, Alphanumeric Value, Numeric Value, and Section.
For example, you may want to create a classification hierarchy of pumps. In the hierarchy, you could make pumps the top level of the classification. Below the top level of the hierarchy you could define multiple pump types such as centrifugal, rotary, and reciprocating. Those pump types can be defined as having different attributes such as head, rated RPM, Flow Rate, and Corrosion resistance
