View/Modify Parents

Use View/Modify Parents to replace the current parent location, in a particular system, with a new parent location.

To replace the parent location in a particular system:

1. Display the location record on the Location tab.

2. From the Select Action menu, choose View/Modify Parents.

3. In the New Parent field, enter a value or click Detail Menu and select an option. The system automatically displays the description of the new parent location in the description field.

 The new parent is validated to ensure that:

• it is in the selected system

• it does not currently exist as the parent to the current location in the selected system.

• it does not exist in the child location hierarchy of the selected location.

5. Click OK to return to the location record.
