Set Service Options

You use the Service Options dialog box in the Organizations (SP) application to specify how to enter street address information for a service address. Specify whether street address information is entered in a structured format or as text in fields.

If you require street address information to be entered in a structured format, users enter street address information in the Add / Modify Street Address dialog box. Otherwise, users type the street address directly in the street address field.

Note: This option should be set when Service Provider is installed, and should not be changed. Changing this setting after street addresses have been entered can lead to problems with the data.

To specify the service options:

1. In the Organizations (SP) application, select the organization for which you want to specify service options.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Service Options to open the Service Options dialog box.

3. Select one of the following options:

• The use of the structured format is REQUIRED—Users enter structured street address data with the Add / Modify Street Address dialog box. Access the dialog box when you click Show/Manage Values on the Street Address field.

• The use of the structured format is NOT ALLOWED—Users enter non-structured address data in the address fields.

4. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
