Remove Global FlagA global problem is a problem that is the root cause of many other issues or that is something affecting many users. A global problem might have many other records related to it.
The indicator, or flag, for whether a problem is a global record is on the Problem tab of that record; the Is Global? check box is selected on a global record. The indicator for whether a problem is related to a global issue is on the Problem tab of that record; the Related to Global ID field displays the global record to which this record is related.
You can remove the global flag on a record only after you remove the identifier for that record in all records related to it as a global record.
In the Problems (SP) application, display the record for which you want to remove the global flag.
Click the Related Records tab to view the list of related records in the Related Tickets table window. Those records related to the global record have the value RELATEDTOGL in the Relationship field.
For each record
that is related to the global one, click Detail Menu
. Select Go To
and go to that record's application.
The system displays the record related to the global one.
Clear the value in the Related to Global ID field.
Click Save Problem .
After removing the relationship from all relevant records, display the global record again. Remove the check mark from the Is Global? check box.
Click Save Problem .
