Add Assets to a Response PlanYou add assets and asset types to a response plan in the Response Plans (SP) application. The assets can be within a specified asset hierarchy. When you add assets and asset types to a response plan, it makes the response plan applicable only to tickets, work orders, or sales orders with the same asset criteria. If you do not specify assets or asset types on the response plan, the response plan can be applied to records with any assets or asset types. You can specify a single asset or an asset within an asset hierarchy.
Note: Other matching criteria apply. See the topic About Response Plans for more information about matching response plans to tickets, work orders, and sales orders.
The response plan must be in a DRAFT or INACTIVE status to add assets to it.
In the Response Plans (SP) application, display the response plan to which you want to add assets.
Click the Assets tab.
To add an asset, take the following steps:
Click Select Assets.
In the Select Assets window, select one or more assets for the response plan, then click OK to save your changes.
If the asset has child assets (subassemblies) and you want to include them on the response plan, click the Include Children? check box on the row.
