Create a Response PlanYou use the Response Plans (SP) application to create response plans records. Response plans specify the actions and notifications for a work order, ticket, or sales order. You apply response plans to tickets, work orders, and sales orders in their respective applications.
On the
toolbar, click New Response Plan
. If the Response
Plan field is empty, enter a value.
Enter a description in the Response Plan Description field. To enter or view additional information, click Long Description .
In the Applies To field, enter a value or click Select Value to specify the record type to which the response plan applies.
In the Ranking field, enter a ranking value. If more than one response plan is applicable to a record, the ranking value is used to select a plan. A lower number in the Ranking field takes precedence over a higher number.
In the Dates section, enter appropriate date values.
In the Applies To Calendar section, specify the organization, calendar, and shift for records to which you intend to apply the response plan. If you add values in these fields, they are used as part of the matching logic when selecting a response plan for a record. The response plan is applied only to records reported during this calendar and shift.
Fill in additional fields on this tab as needed. For example, you can assign an owner and the responsible vendor. Apply a ticket template to fill in fields and a job plan to specify work tasks. An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
Enter additional data on other tabs:
Conditions: to specify conditions under which a response plan is applied to a ticket, work order, or sales order.
Locations: to specify locations to which the response plan applies.
Assets: to specify assets to which the response plan applies.
Configuration Items: to specify configuration items to which the response plan applies.
Response Actions: to specify the actions and notifications to occur for the record.
Click Save Response Plan . The response plan is not available to apply to records until you change the status to ACTIVE.
