About Applying a Customer AgreementYou apply a customer agreement and an associated price schedule to a release in the Releases (SP) application. When you use the Apply Customer Agreement action, the system searches for a customer agreement and price schedule to apply.
Before you apply a customer agreement to a release, you must associate a customer with the release. The customer on the release can be the customer who is responsible for the location, asset, or configuration item (CI) on the release. If there is not a location, asset, or configuration item with a customer on the release, you can add a customer directly in the Customer field. You can also overwrite the customer that was selected from the location, asset, or configuration item.
You can apply an agreement and price schedule that have conditions that match data on the release. The release must have a customer. In addition, the customer agreement price schedule must be applicable to releases.
Price schedules are selected based on conditions that match information on the release. If more than one price schedule is applicable, a ranking value on the price schedule is used. In this case, the price schedule with the highest rank (the lowest numeric value) is applied.
Tasks on the release inherit an applied price schedule. Child work orders and follow-up work orders do not inherit this price schedule. However, child and follow-up work orders might have separate price schedules applied to them.
See the Customer Agreements (SP) help for more information about how agreements and price schedules are matched to records.
After you apply a price schedule, cost transactions you have reported on the release and its tasks are reviewed. The price schedule is used to calculate prices for the cost transactions. The price schedule can apply pricing rules to labor, materials, tools, and services transactions. The price schedule also can specify additional fees and charges, such as management, incentive, or penalty fees. You can enter additional fees on the Fees and Charges tabs. You cannot modify fixed fees added by a price schedule.
Note: If the release has a price quote and the applied price schedule does not allow price quotes, the values of the current quote type and quoted price are removed. An historical record of the original quote type and price is retained. See the topic View / Update Price Quotes for more information about current and original price quotes.
You can deselect an applied price schedule. If there is no price schedule associated with the release, you can search for and select an applicable price schedule. You use the Select / Deselect Price Schedule action to search for and select a price schedule that does not exactly match the conditions on the work order.
You cannot apply a price schedule to the following types of work orders:
task work orders
releases a billing batch that has been billed and the bill status either is approved or resolved
releases that already have an associated price schedule.
