Plans Tab

You use the Plans tab in the Releases (SP) application to view, enter, and modify work plan data on a release. A work plan describes the tasks, labor, materials, services, and tools needed to complete the work. It includes estimated fees and charges applied by a price schedule.

Typically, you add a work plan to a release when you associate a job plan with the release. Associate a job plan with the record when you insert an identifier in the Job Plan field or, from another application, generate a release that already has a job plan. The job plan, called a work plan, is copied to the release.

You also can view the price quote type and quoted price for this release. View or update the price quote with the View/Update Price Quote action.

On the Plans tab, you add child release and create tasks for the release. You enter information about estimated labor, materials, services, and tools needed to carry out a work plan on the Plan's Labor, Material, Services, and Tools subtabs. You also add estimated fees and charges.

A safety plan might be added to the release, if the job plan and its asset(s) or location(s) have a safety plan. Changes that you make to the work plan or safety plan do not affect the original job plan or safety plan.

For information about a field, place the cursor in the field and press Alt + F1.
