Report Actual Labor Hours You report actual labor hours for an approved release on the Labor subtab of the Actuals tab of the Releases (SP) application.
You can copy data from an existing plan, and delete from, add to, or change this data to reflect actual events. If you apply a price schedule to the release, actual labor prices are calculated. View the price information in the Line Price field of each labor or craft. View all costs and prices in the View Costs and Prices dialog box.
You can insert new rows in the Labor table window until you close the record. You can edit information until you save the record.
You report labor hours in the following ways:
Display the release for which you want to select planned labor.
On the Labor subtab of the Actuals tab, click Select Labor to open the Select Labor dialog box.
In the Select Labor dialog box, select one or more labor records.
Click OK to close the dialog box and return the values to the record.
If appropriate,
you can edit the labor's details. To make changes, click View Details
for the labor and edit such fields as Hours,
Rate, Type,
Skill Level, and others as needed.
Click Save Record .
You use the Select Planned Labor dialog box to select and copy labor information from the work plan to report actuals. You can select multiple labor codes at once when you report actuals using the Select Planned Labor dialog box. Select Planned Labor is only available when the release has a work plan and the release has been approved. You can edit the data when you copy it from the work plan to the Labor subtab of the Actuals tab.
Display the release for which you want to select planned labor.
On the Labor subtab, click Select Planned Labor to open the Select Planned Labor dialog box.
Select one or more labor codes.
To return the selected values to the record, click OK. Each selection creates a new row in the Labor table window.
If appropriate, you can edit the labor details. To make changes, click View Details for the labor and edit fields such as Start Time, Hours, and other fields as needed.
Note: After you save the record, the fields become read-only if the record's Approved? check box is selected.
Click Save Record .
Display the record for which you want to report labor.
On the Labor subtab, click New Row. The Row Details open.
Perform either of the following actions:
In the Labor Code field enter a labor code or click the Detail Menu to choose an option to select a value. The labor's rate is displayed in the Rate field based on the labor craft and skill level.
In the Craft field, enter a craft code or click the Detail Menu to choose an option to select a value. The standard rate specified for that craft is displayed. If there is a current approved Revision of the contract for that craft, the rate from that contract is used.
To report labor hours for a task, enter a value or click Select Value in the Task ID field to select a value. If there is a value in the Hours field for that task, the value is copied to the Hours field for the labor.
Enter or modify data as required in the Quantity, Hours, and Rate fields. The value in the Line Cost field is calculated.
Click Save Record .
