Modify a Reconciliation Task

Use the Reconciliation Task tab in the Reconciliation Tasks (SP) application to modify an existing reconciliation task. On this tab, you can change the following reconciliation task fields:

• description field

• Is Case Sensitive? check box

You cannot change the name of the reconciliation task.

You can delete the task filter or select a new task filter. In addition, you can go to the Task Filters (SP) application to create a new task filter and then return the new value to the reconciliation task.

You can add new link rules and comparison rules. You can delete existing link rules and comparison rules.

You cannot change the customer linked with the reconciliation task. You must create a new task if you need to add a customer or change the customer.

To modify a reconciliation task:

1. On the List tab in the Reconciliation Tasks (SP) application, select the reconciliation task that you want to change. The application displays the selected reconciliation task on the Reconciliation Task tab.

2. If appropriate, to change the value in the description field, select the field and retype the description.

3. If appropriate, either select or clear the Is Case Sensitive? field.

4. To change a task filter, link rule, or comparison rule on the task, select one of the following options:

5. If appropriate, in the Comparison Results field, click Select Value to change the type of results that you want when a comparison rule is processed. The Comparison Results field specifies which comparison results to display in the a reconciliation results (SP) application. If you define a comparison rule for the reconciliation task, select a value for this field.

6. When you complete all modifications, click Save Reconciliation Task  to save the modified reconciliation task.
