Modify a Task Filter

You use the Task Filter tab in the Task Filters (SP) application to modify task filters. You can change the filter clauses, but you cannot change the task filter, filter type, or customer.

To modify a task filter:

  1. On the List tab in the Task Filters (SP) application, select the task filter that you want to modify. The application displays the selected task filter on the Task Filter tab.

  2. Modify the fields on the task filter as required. You can select from the following options:

  3. To add a new filter clause, use the following procedure:

  1. In the Task Filter Clauses table window, click New Row. The Row Details open.

  2. In the Attribute field, click Select Value and select an attribute from the Select Value dialog box. The value that  you select populates the Attribute field.

  3. In the Value field, enter a value for the attribute selected in the preceding step.

Note: You can create multiple attribute clauses for a task filter. If you create multiple clauses that specify different attributes, the system processes the clauses using logical AND between the clauses. If you create clauses that use the same attribute, the system processes the clauses using logical OR between clauses. For additional information about this feature, see Task Filter Components.

Note: You cannot change the task filter name or filter type. If you want to change the name of a task filter, you can create a new record with a different name or filter type and delete the current one.

Note: You cannot delete a task filter if it is associated with a task defined in the Reconciliation Tasks (SP) application. If you attempt to delete a task filter associated with a reconciliation task, the system displays an error message.

  1. When you complete all modifications, click Save Task Filter  to save the modified task filter record.
