About Count-based Pricing Rules

You add count-based pricing rules for IT assets to a price schedule In the Customer Agreements (SP) application.

When you bill fees for IT assets you manage on a sales order, you specify a classification in the Fees and Charges table window to identify the IT assets for which you are billing. Then you apply the price schedule with a matching classification in the pricing rules to determine the fees to bill to this customer. .

Creating count-based pricing rules

When you create count-based pricing rules for IT assets you manage in the Customer Agreements (SP) application, you specify the classification of the assets. For each classification, you can create two types of billing rules:

To either of these rules, you also can add fixed amounts that you bill at every billing cycle. You see the fixed amount on its own line in the sales order.

If the pricing rule is applied, the line price on the sales order is calculated as follows:

(unit price on pricing rule x asset count for sales order)
