Add Fees and Charges to a Sales Order

You add fees and charges to a sales order on the Sales Order tab of the Sales Orders (SP) application. There are several ways to add fees and charges to a sales order:

To insert fees and charges directly on the sales order:

  1. Display the sales order to which you want to add new fees and charges.

  2. On the Sales Order tab, click New Row.

  3. In the Type field, enter a fee or charge type or click Select Value to choose one. The Calculation value of ENTERED is added. An applied price schedule does not change a line price you enter with this calculation type.

  4. In the Line Price field, enter a price to bill for this fee.

  5. Click Save Sales Order .

You can modify fees and charges you add when the status of the sales order is WAPPR, APPR, or COMP.

To add fixed fees from a price schedule:

  1. Display the sales order to which you want to add fixed fees from a price schedule. The sales order status cannot be WAPPR.

  2. In the Select Action menu, select Apply Customer Agreement. A matching customer agreement and price schedule are applied.

  3. View applied fees in the Fees and Charges table. These rows are read only.

  4. Click Save Sales Order .

You cannot modify fixed fees and charges added by a price schedule, except by deselecting the price schedule. Deselecting the price schedule removes all price calculations from the sales order and may remove the sales order from the bill batch.

Specify IT asset management fees and charges:

  1. Display the sales order to which you want to add IT asset management fees. The status of the sales order must be WAPPR, APPR, or COMP. Perform any of the following tasks:

  1. After you specify the IT asset management services you provided, approve the sales order.

  2. Apply a customer agreement. The associated price schedule calculates prices for these services.

When you apply the price schedule to this sales order, the line price is calculated based on the values you entered. For more information about the pricing calculations, see the topic About Count-based Pricing Rules.
