Create a Sales OrderYou create a sales order in the Sales Orders (SP) application. Use sales orders to bill transactions that are not related to work orders or tickets. For example, you bill monthly maintenance fees, IT asset management fees, and trip fees with sales orders.
On the toolbar, click New Sales Order . If the Sales Order field is empty, enter a value.
Enter a description in the Sales Order Description field. To enter or view additional information, click Long Description .
In the Location field, enter the location to which the fees of this sales order apply. If the selected location has a single asset associated with it, the asset identifier is entered in the Asset field. If the location is associated with a primary customer, customer information is copied to the record. You can then apply customer-related records to the sales order. If the location is associated with a service address, the service address is copied to the Service Address tab.
Optional: Specify an asset in the Asset field. The asset location is copied to the Location field. The location might be associated with a primary customer.
Optional: In the Classification field, enter a classification for the sales order. The classification might be used to search for other records to apply to the sales order.
Optional: In the Service Group or Service Group and Service fields, enter services information.
Optional: Add fees and charges in the Fees and Charges table. You might add fees and charges for IT asset management, incentives, penalties, or trip charges.
Optional: Complete the remaining fields as appropriate.
Click Save Sales Order .
