Create a Work Order from a Work Order

You can create a work order from a work order. The system copies the asset, location, and GL account information from the originating record to the new work order.

When you create a work order from within a work order, the new work order has a relationship type of Follow Up and the work order from which you created the release has a relationship type of Originator.

To create a work order from a work order:

1. Display the record from which you want to create a work order.

2. From the Select Action menu, select Create > Work Order.  The system creates the work order and gives it a status of WAPPR.

3. To view the work order, click the Related Records tab. The work order you created is displayed in the Related Work Orders table.
