You can group existing work orders together under a new parent work order to create a work package. This can be useful, for example, when you have an existing work package with 100 separate tasks, and 90 of those tasks have been completed. You can select the remaining ten tasks and create a new work package with a new parent work order. The ten tasks become tasks under the new work order, and any work orders that are not tasks become children of the new work order.
The system assigns new task numbers to the tasks and child work orders brought together in the new work package.
On the List tab, filter the list to display the records you want to add to a work package.
Select the Select Records check box at the bottom
of the List tab.
Note: You may need to narrow
your result set before you can select records.
To select records, select the Select Record check box for each record. If you want to select all of the records in the list, select the Select All Records check box in the table header.
From the Select Action menu, select Create Work Package. The system creates a new work order on the main tab.
Fill in fields as needed. An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
