Insert and Edit Inspection Data

When you look at the Tasks table window of the Plans and Actuals tabs, you may see measurement points for the work asset on the work order. The system automatically copies a measurement point number to your work plan any time there is a three-way match between:

You can also insert measurement points on a work order until the work order is closed. If you enter a measurement for a measurement point, the system copies the new measurement and measurement date to the MEASUREMENT database table. If you enter a measurement without a measurement point, the system saves the measurement data with the work order. This field becomes read-only once it contains data and you save the record. The system does not update this field if you change the asset identifier on the work order.

Use the Observation field to record visual inspection data and use the Inspector field to record the name of the person performing the inspection.

You can edit these fields until the work order is closed. Once the work order is closed, you can add or modify operations by selecting Edit History Work Order from the Select Action menu.
