Associate Assets with an SLA

You add assets and asset types to a service level agreement (SLA) in the Service Level Agreements (SP) application. The assets can be within a specified asset hierarchy. When you add assets and asset types to an SLA, it makes the SLA applicable only to tickets and work orders with the same asset criteria. If you do not specify assets or asset types on the SLA, it can be applied to records with any assets or asset types. You can specify a single asset or an asset within an asset hierarchy.

Note: Other matching criteria apply. See the topic About Applying Service Level Agreements for more information about matching SLAs to tickets and work orders.

The SLA must be in a DRAFT or INACTIVE status to associate assets.
