Entering by work orderYou can report labor hours by work orders. Entering by work order is useful when you have a stack of work orders to report. You can enter the work order once and select or enter all the labor transactions against that work order. When you report labor hours by work order, the Asset, Location, and Start Date fields default to the values in those fields on the work order.
On the toolbar, click Enter By Work Order .
In the Work Order field in the Enter By Work Order dialog box, specify a value. You can select work orders whose status is not WAPPR (Waiting for Approval), CAN (Cancelled), or CLOSE (Closed).
If the work order you selected has tasks, you can select a task in the Task field.
In the Daily Time table window, perform one of the following actions:
To select labor from a list of all labor codes, click Select Labor and choose one of more labor codes.
To select labor from the planned labor and assignments on the work order, click Select Planned Labor and choose one or more labor or craft codes in the Planned Labor and Assignments dialog box.
The Daily Time table window displays the selection you made.
To enter labor or craft codes individually, click New Row and enter values in the fields as needed. Repeat for the labor hours for each labor or craft that you want to report.
To close the dialog box and save the labor transaction, click OK. To close the dialog box and not report labor hours, click Cancel.
