Select a Job Plan

You can select a job plan for a permit instead of building a plan from scratch. The job plan you select becomes the permit plan.

The following restrictions apply:

• You can only add approved job plans with a template type of permit to permit records.

• You cannot add a job plan to a permit that already includes planned tasks, labor, materials, services, or tools. If a permit already includes plan data, the Job Plan field on the Permit tab is read-only.

To select a job plan:

1. Open the permit record that you want to modify.

2. In the Job Plan field, click Detail Menu and choose Select Value to open the Select Value window.

3. Optional: To filter the list of job plans that are available for selection, select the Show Job Plans for the Permit's Asset and Location Only check box and click Refresh.

The system copies the job plan tasks, labor, materials, services, and tools to the permit plan. If the job plan includes a default safety plan for the asset that is specified on the permit, the system also copies the safety plan reference to the permit.
